February 2026 Astrology News
/Happy 12/21/2025 Winter Solstice, Happy New Year, and Welcome to the Year of the Fire Horse.
2026 brings the potential of fresh starts and new beginnings. As numerologists welcome the start of a One Cycle (going through years one through nine), we witness a new chapter. Granted, there do not seem to be events happening around the globe that would pay tribute to fresh starts. However, we can use this turning point as an opportunity to reset our thinking, perceptions, and intentions.
2026 will be a year of major shifts, pivotal opportunities, and accelerated growth, as four of the five outer planets enter fully into new signs, shift from earth or water into fire or air signs, and form three historic conjunctions.
Yes, I have been absent from sharing reports on astrological events. Yet I have been studying and observing for the last three months. My research indicates that the next five years will be a period of change. And it starts with this year and this month.
February 2026 astrology (Astro Twins Report, along with Stephanie Austin’s thoughts, is interwoven into this newsletter).
The shortest month of the year comes packed with some of the most potent astrology of the decade—a once-every-thousands-of-years planetary mashup, a catalytic solar eclipse, and the fiery launch of the Lunar New Year. Saddle up, because the Year of the Fire Horse is about to take us on a swift gallop into a whole new era!
February comes in hot with a Leo full moon on the 1st, followed by a cosmic course correction. On February 3, change-agent Uranus ends a five-month retrograde, shaking us out of stagnation and pushing bold ideas forward again. This also marks the final sprint of Uranus’ eight-year stay in grounded Taurus.
We’ve been rewiring our collective relationship to money, material resources and security since side-spinning Uranus entered the Bullpen in 2018. Between now and April 25, integrate what you’ve learned and put it into motion. After that, Uranus will blaze into Gemini, bringing rapid innovation and change until 2033.
February 1st, Leo Full Moon (from Stephanie Austin’s newsletter)
We are nea: We are nearly halfway between the last solstice and the next equinox, celestial alignments that shift life’s direction. The midpoints between each solstice and equinox, known as cross-quarter days, are also power times and have been commemorated in many cultures worldwide as potent times to release the past and envision the future.
Vestiges of midwinter rites survive as Groundhog Day in the US and Canada, but trace back to far earlier observances. Ancient Greeks lit candles in honor of Demeter, the Celts commemorated Imbolc, the Irish honored the feast of St. Brigid, Aztecs and Iroquois ceremonially extinguished their hearth fires and relit them. Since the 4th century, these earlier traditions of light, hope, and renewal have been celebrated on February 2 as Candlemas.
Full moons literally and symbolically bring light to the dark, illuminating what’s been in the shadows of our awareness. They also impel us to balance the polarity spotlighted by the Moon’s opposition to the Sun. The next full moon, which peaks on February 1 at 13º Leo-Aquarius at 2:09 PM PST, facilitates realigning with our life purpose and connecting with like-minded souls. Aspects from Saturn and Neptune guide us to pay special attention to our intuition and what goes through our mind, dreams, and synchronicities for important messages from our higher self. How this full moon activates our birth chart highlights where we have extra support to live our lives centered in our hearts and focused on our shared humanity rather than on polarization.
Leo is about being real, being who we really are, being true to our soul, while Aquarius is about belonging — our affiliations with friends and colleagues, community, and humanity. From January 20 to February 6, five of the ten traditional planets are in Aquarius (Sun, Mercury, Venus, Mars, Pluto), amplifying the 11th sign’s quest to generate a greater sense of kinship and a better future for all. Where do we need to shine our light and dare to be different? Where are we being called to appreciate diversity, play well with others, and co-create a better world?
The Leo-Aquarius polarity stands for the integration of individual courage and humanitarian ideals. A beautiful example is the extraordinary Walk for Peace being done by 19 Buddhist monks to promote mindfulness and loving kindness across the United States. They began their 2,300 mile/3700 km journey across 10 states on October 26, 2025 from the Huong Dao Vipassana Bhavana Center in Fort Worth, Texas, and plan to arrive in Washington D.C. by mid-February 2026. This event also symbolizes the archetypal energies of Saturn (representing discipline, perseverance, and commitment) re-entering Aries (courage, action, and spiritual warriorship) on February 13 and conjoining Neptune (unconditional love, interconnectedness, unity) on February 20.
Eclipse Cycle?
As the eclipse cycle goes from the Pisces-Virgo axis to the Aquarius—Leo axis this year, the theme of our global consciousness evolves. The first eclipse of the year is a solar eclipse. On February 17, the Aquarius new moon arrives as a potent solar eclipse, flinging opening the barn doors to the revolutionary 2026 we’ve named The Year of the Unbridled Spirit. This annular solar eclipse, fittingly dubbed the “ring of fire,” sets off 12 months of the Fire Horse’s lunar leadership, a once-every-60-years cycle that refuses to be tamed. Expect rebellion, fast innovation and a collective desire to break free from stale scripts. It’s a month to write your own rules… and burn the ones that never fit to begin with.
I think the songs coming to our attention these days are: Revolution (Beatles)…..”You say you want a revolution…” OR Buffalo Springfield’s For What It’s Worth. “There’s something happening here, but what it is ain’t exactly clear…. Everyone look what’s going down.”
An Astrological Event for the Ages
As said before in this message, February is a monumental month . A conjunction of two major planets (two forces coming together in the same constellation at the zero-degree point). Astrologers have been speaking of this event for years. The Aries Point: On February 20, Saturn and Neptune make an exact conjunction at 0° Aries, which hasn’t happened for thousands of years! As this duo combines their polar-opposite energies in warrior Aries, get ready to navigate a paradox. How can you stay soft in a world that will demand toughness and strength? The tension is palpable, but so is the possibility for soulful, lasting change.
The last time Saturn and Neptune came together in another zodiac sign, it signaled the start of the United States Civil War. While there are various ways to predict what may transpire around the globe with this heralded February 20th event, please note that the zero point of ARIES is the very start of the zodiac. This transit could be interpreted as entering the Great Reset. Or try this: A Birth of a New World. Okay, this may sound hyperbolic, but we may see shifts in how the entire humanity operates. Aries is a strong fiery cardinal sign that goes into action. Neptune and Saturn both do not typically express well in the sign of Aries. It is a fascinating event when you combine Neptune’s otherworldly, multidimensional consciousness with the sober real-world structure of Saturn.
For me, the bottom line is this: This month of February is the beginning of the collective shift. During the next five years or so, there will be an evolution of consciousness. Currently, humanity may be at its spiritual bottom due to massive moral degradation. But there is a call to action that I see with a collective leadership forming and evolving from our individual devotional spiritual practice. As each of us rise to our awareness that we are all connected to divinity, we will see an evolution of humanity. The current situation will not change until “WE” (“I”) change.
